Thru EFRs' electronic recycling process, end-of-life/obsolete electronic equipment is de-manufactured in an environmentally responsible method. Computers, laptops, monitors, copiers, printers, fax machines, telephones/cell phones and many other forms of computer components, office and household electronics are disassembled at our facility. Components that are determined to be usable are sold for reuse or used in the refurbishing process for units that have missing or defective components. Unmarketable equipment or components are recycled and sent to certified facilities for further reclamation of materials. All shipments received at our facility from our customers are inventoried and a “Certificate of Recycling” is issued.

EFR regards data destruction for confidential information collected by government agencies, corporations, municipalities and end consumers of utmost importance to ensure complete security. We will remove all property tags, company labels, asset labels and other forms of identification and provide “Certificates of Recycling” to all of our customers. Based on the customers needs, we can delete your proprietary information by performing DOD (Department of Defense-5200.28-STD directive) wipes. We can also perform HIPAA compliant total hard drive (media) destruction on hard drives, tape media, CD’s, floppies, etc. This process involves hard drives to be drilled thru the center, the primary area where information is stored. All data wipes and data destruction is securely performed at our facility. We provide “Certificates of Destruction” upon request for prototype materials to be shredded not meant for resale- (i.e.; automotive, electronic, etc). EFR, Inc. subcontracts all shredding to be performed on our behalf by a North American certifiable and auditable processing company averting material from going to the land fill. All equipment determined to be re-marketable is tested refurbished/repaired by our technicians. Equipment (whole units or parts) is resold back into the marketplace, completing a full “Environmentally Friendly” cycle of rotation, from end-of-life to reuse. In order to effectively maximize refurbished products for resale, EFR has established a “large volume buyers program” in the retail and wholesale marketplace in addition to our on-line retail store.

All shipments that EFR receives are securely tracked from your facility to ours and inventoried by our specialists. A tracking number is issued for each shipment enabling us to identify date of arrival, contact information of location, number of units delivered, who delivered the product and what personnel  was responsible for receiving the product. As standard policy, all employees at EFR undergo a back round check. Our facility is closely monitored for added security.

For companies looking to capture the highest value for there excess equipment, EFR can provide company specific programs for your owned or leased equipment. For equipment that is determined to be non-marketable, EFR will recycle the equipment using an environmentally friendly process.
